Q- Are there any additional fees above and beyond the rental rate?

A- The only additional fees to the rental rate quoted are taxes, a cleaning fee, a processing fee and a refundable security/damage deposit. The security/damage deposit is returned within 14 days of your departure pending inspection of the property.

Q- Where are the nearest beaches?

A- Within minutes of your vacation rental property, you’ll find a handful of beautiful Marathon, Florida area beaches to enjoy. Sombrero Beach is located at MM 50, Coco Plum Beach is located at MM 54.5 and Curry Hammock State Park is located at MM 56. 

Q- Are linens, cookware, dishes, etc. provided with the rental property?

A- Yes. Everything you’ll need is available at your home-away-from-home.

Q- What is there to do in Marathon?

A- You’ll find a vast array of things to do in Marathon, Florida. From outdoor activities, including snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, scuba-diving, swimming with dolphins, and feeding giant cobia to nationally-recognized parks and attractions. We also provide exceptional choices for dining, shopping and entertainment. 

Q- What time is check-in and check-out?

A- Check-in is 4 pm and check-out is 10 am. However, special arrangements can be made upon request.

Q- How much are taxes for the rental property?

A- Florida State Vacation Rental Property taxes are 12.5%.

Q- Can I bring/rent a boat?

A- Yes, all of our homes have adequate dockage for most medium-sized boats. There are many reputable boat rental operations within Marathon and we are happy to recommend some upon request.

Q- What day do reservations usually begin and end?

A- Our reservations usually run from Saturday to Saturday. This is a common policy for most vacation rentals in the Florida Keys. However, special arrangements can be made upon request if possible.

Q- What mile markers are Marathon and most of the rental properties located?

A- Marathon is a cluster of islands spanning from Duck Key to the East and the historic 7 Mile Bridge to the West. The majority of our properties are located between MM 54.5 and 47.

Q- How much is needed to secure a reservation TODAY?

A – There is a max $3000 security deposit (each home has a different deposit fee). You’ll also be offered a vacation insurance package for a more affordable price.
